Good morning everyone,

It is has been nearly three months and we finally have an update for you.

Since February we have been negotiating with Auckland Transport, Auckland Council, and our landlord about how we can move forwards with re-opening Elevation. Some of our concerns have been:

• How to facilitate regular deliveries from our suppliers when there is a weight limit on the damaged section of road and delivery vehicles frequently weigh over that limit.
• Waste removal in relation to the space required for our bins and the bins of locals caught within the traffic management area.
• Customer safety when entering and exiting our car park.
• When will the Waitakere Ranges, associated tramps and beach communities be re-opened to the public?
• Issues around reduced public access and passing traffic.

Auckland Transport has been supportive and willing to help with re-opening, yet Auckland Council has been slow to respond to any of our enquiries. Unfortunately, we have agreed with our landlord to terminate our lease. The consequence of this is that from Friday, 12th May we will no longer be permitted to operate at the premises.

To our employees present and former, our locals and to our customers, Vanny and I thank you all for participating in our journey to resurrect Elevation and make it a continuing success. We have grown to know our local community and cherish the support and loyalty our locals have given us over the last eight to nine years. This is especially true during Covid where we would not have survived without your support.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives.

Sincerely,
Brett Kenyon and Vanny Keo
